I am really glad to present the outcome of many months of design, experimentation and development: the Godfeather, a Houdini node library for film-quality feather grooming.

I worked on characters with wings and body feathers for productions like Maleficent: Mistress of Evil and The One and Only Ivan, and experienced first hand the artistic, technical and productive challenges of making feathers for films.

Supporting the artist's work, dealing with change at different stages of characters creation, managing the asset in a clean and rational way: all these aspects are brought to a higher level with the set of tools provided by the Godfeather, together with the final achievement of a stunning look.
